Salary: $45.00 hourly for 20 to 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Home care and visiting care agency, Hospital or home for the aged, Hospital/medical facility or clinic, Nursing home/home for the aged, Private residence, Public or community health centre, Retirement home, and Long-term care
Supervision: 11-15 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Geriatrics
Specialization or experience: Green economy sector
Credentials: Acute care nursing Certificate, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities
Security and safety: Adult Abuse Registry check, Basic security clearance, Bondable, Criminal record check, Eligible for professional liability insurance, Tuberculosis test, and Vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work and be capable of performing tasks requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling
• The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be physically fit to meet the demands of a physically demanding job
• The candidates should be comfortable sitting for extended periods and standing for extended periods, and be able to work effectively under pressure

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate accuracy in their work and prioritize client focus in their interactions
• The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication, exhibit excellent oral communication abilities, and demonstrate excellent written communication skills

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions, assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, and collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families
• The candidates should be able to conduct disease screening, deliver immunization programs, and dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
• The candidates should be able to engage in research activities related to nursing, manage home care cases, and operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
• The candidates should be able to participate in community needs assessment and program development, provide nursing care, and supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
