Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of previous experience operating forklifts
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads, work in varying temperature conditions
- The candidates should be willing to wear appropriate safety equipment such as safety shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection, which are provided by the company
- The candidates should be willing to drive a forklift if required, with training provided by the company
- The candidates should have the ability to work individually or as part of a team, the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 40 lbs) and perform physical tasks
- The candidates should be comfortable remaining seated for up to four consecutive hours, be willing to work rotating shifts, which include 7 days/12 hours, days and nights, in a rapid rotation schedule, receiving 84 hours every 2 weeks
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should hold a valid G2 or higher Ontario Driver’s License, ensure that detailed education and work experience are included in their resume
- The candidates should preferably have; however, training, basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory control software
- The candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety practices
- The candidates should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to prep and hang raw material, pick and move pallets using a hand-pump cart
- The candidates should be able to load and unload materials from unwinds, utilize inventory control software to order and consume materials
- The candidates should be able to move materials by hand as needed to support operations, occasionally hand-stack cases of finished products
- The candidates should be able to perform basic housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work area
- The candidates should be able to drive a fork truck if required, with training provided by the company
