Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business and human resources
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team

  • The candidates should have expert knowledge of compensation-related concepts including job evaluation, salary administration, incentive plan design, pay equity, and administration in a complex organization
  • The candidates should demonstrate strong business acumen and understanding of analytical processes, as well as how incentive programs support strategic objectives
  • The candidates should possess excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
  • The candidates should have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to build effective relationships across teams and business partners
  • The candidates should have a high level of knowledge of HR systems and compensation concepts and structures

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to manage the day-to-day operations of the compensation team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective program delivery and professional development within the function monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures, and recommend revisions or new programs aligned with compensation trends and corporate objectives
  • The candidate should be able to coordinate the implementation of compensation programs and provide related guidance to corporate staff manage participation in external compensation and policy surveys to ensure market-aligned and competitive practices
  • The candidate should be able to manage the annual compensation cycle—including merit, short-term, and long-term incentive plans—for non-represented staff in collaboration with the compensation team support the development of Board materials related to compensation matters requiring approval
  • The candidate should be able to provide advice on pay decisions, salary recommendations, and policy development, including the design of tailored solutions to compensation-related challenges oversee the job evaluation function across all jurisdictions
  • The candidate should be able to develop employee and manager communications to enhance understanding and effective use of the organization’s compensation programs and processes collaborate with the labour relations team on compensation issues related to the collective bargaining process
  • The candidate should be able to manage pay equity matters in accordance with applicable laws and best practices stay informed of federal and provincial compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance
