Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School diploma
Experience: Candidates should have at least four years of industry-related experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to pass a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test, and be free of any intoxicating substances
- The candidates should be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations, depending on the work location
- The candidates should be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time of an offer and be responsible for securing any required work permits, visas, or other authorizations
- The candidates should be able to successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam, physical assessment, and security check, be available to work nights, evenings, and days, including weekends and holidays
- The candidates should be willing to work the night shift as a permanent position, with the possibility of change based on seniority, ability to pass and obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have completed a recognized apprenticeship program, possess a Transport Canada AME M2 or M1 license and possess a valid driver’s license
- The candidates should possess a restricted radio operator’s permit and meet Air Canada’s medical standards, as employees in this role conduct safety-critical work
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to use the correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenance
- The candidates should be able to read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting, proficient with computers and diagnostic tools
- The candidates should be able to work effectively as team players, excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The candidates should be able to maintain a customer-focused attitude in a demanding, high-stress environment
