Government of Nunavut’s WSCC Department based in Iqaluit, NU is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Assessment representative. Government of Nunavut’s Workers’ Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC) Department ensures workplace safety and administers compensation programs. It provides resources, training, and enforcement of safety regulations. WSCC offers financial assistance and support for injured workers and their families. It promotes safer work environments across various industries. It aims to protect and support all workers. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Business Administration Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have two years of experience working in an inbound or outbound call center environment and customer service-related field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have knowledge in payroll systems, accounting or bookkeeping systems, business cycles, collections, and insurance administration
  • The candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner
  • The candidates should be able to provide a satisfactory criminal record check, with failure to provide a satisfactory check potentially leading to disqualification from the competition

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to research and gather all relevant information on registering stakeholders in accordance with WSCC policies and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to determine the approval of Clearance Requests by stakeholders
  • The candidates should be able to provide ongoing customer service, quality assurance, and management of stakeholder accounts
  • The candidates should be able to investigate and resolve inconsistencies reported on employer payroll statements
