Salary: $18.00 hourly for 35 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Whitehorse, YT
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Morning
Type of product: Furniture and house furnishings, home electronics, lamps and lighting fixtures

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to operate cash register, operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems, and provide advice about merchandise
  • The candidates should be able to assist in display of merchandise, conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce, and estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates
  • The candidates should be able to greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental or lease, maintain sales records for inventory control, and prepare merchandise for purchase, rental or lease
