Shifts: 08:30 to 17:30
Transportation information: Own transportation, valid driver’s licence, and public transportation is available
Work setting: Retail business, Urban area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Dollies and hand trucks, industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts, pallet lifters, and scanner
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Windows
Credentials: Forklift Operator Certification
Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be comfortable with repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks
- The candidates be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks, and stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate and exhibit dependability, demonstrating a client focus and possessing efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication and demonstrate initiative, exercising good judgment and being organized
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability and be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to determine the method of shipment and prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents
- The candidates should be able to inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, and reject damaged goods
- The candidates should maintain an internal record-keeping system and route goods to appropriate storage areas
- The candidates should pack goods to be shipped, unpack goods received, and affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments
- The candidates should oversee the loading and unloading of goods
