Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have successfully completed the CIFP Diploma in Financial Planning (or a Bank recognized equivalent)
Experience: Candidates should have experience in both personal and small business banking

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience as a people manager and demonstrate the ability to engage their team
  • The candidates should possess solid sales management experience and the ability to market Scotiabank effectively
  • The candidates should have the ability to build strong relationships focused on providing a great client experience and growing relationships with existing customers
  • The candidates should hold a license to sell mutual funds

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assume responsibility for the overall success of the branch by working to meet financial objectives related to the profitable growth and retention of the branch’s personal and business portfolio
  • The candidates should be able to be passionate about leading and developing a team that will build and strengthen existing and new customer relationships by providing financial advice
  • The candidates should be able to assist with building and strengthening existing and new customer relationships through coaching, training, and observation
  • The candidates should be able to coach their team to success, both on an individual basis as well as for the Branch/Bank
  • The candidates should be able to manage and minimize the Bank’s exposure to risk
  • The candidates should be able to oversee the implementation of the Bank’s policies, practices, special initiatives, and procedures
