Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration or relevant discipline
Experience: Candidates should have Minimum of (3) three to (5) five year’s experience in business development preferably in the retail packaged goods industry

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a solid understanding of AC Nielsen reports, business and marketing principles, competitive trends, and P&L management

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to organize, plan, and execute sales initiatives for our retail accounts with the aim of maximizing sales and profitability to meet annual budget targets
  • The candidates should be able to prepare business plans by customer/category to achieve sales and marketing objectives in line with the strategic direction of both Agropur Canada and the customer
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate marketing programs and negotiate business agreements to achieve objectives
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and present monthly business and investment reports, identifying variances from forecasts and improvements required for mutual benefit
  • The candidates should be able to participate in setting sales and investment targets by product category (budgets, sales, and costs)
  • The candidates should be able to identify strategic opportunities to leverage competitive advantage by adding value to products and services (including distribution, billing, price consolidation, and EDI)
  • The candidates should be able to continuously perform post-analysis on activities and formulate recommendations and able to manage day-to-day business development and resolve any issues
  • The candidates should be able to work within established budgets and capitalize on opportunities to add value through cost-effectiveness and operational efficiencies
  • The candidates should be able to participate in the development of sales and investment objectives by product category (budgets, volumes, costs) for each customer
  • The candidates should be able to conduct annual and monthly reviews of sales forecasts for customers under their responsibility
