Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of a Grade 12 diploma
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to establish and maintain a positive, respectful, healthy work environment that supports the physical, psychological, and social working relationships with team members at all levels
- The candidates should be able to keyboard accurately at a minimum of 40 words per minute and good attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of their work and the ability to verify information
- The candidates should be able to work independently and make sound decisions under varying situations
- The candidates should have good organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and meet set work targets
- The candidates should be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and be a minimum of 18 years of age
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have GED, or equivalent and possess 12 months of customer service experience and demonstrate basic level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- The candidates should have a working knowledge of RMS Niche, CPIC, and WPS PoliceNet and demonstrate working knowledge of court processes and disclosures
- The candidates should have the ability to read and interpret complex guidelines, perform basic mathematical calculations
- The candidates should be able to deal discreetly with confidential and sensitive matters and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals under varying circumstances in a professional and courteous manner
- The candidates should have no involvement in any criminal activity within the last two years, including illegal drugs
- The candidates should have no criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted and pass a Level 3 Winnipeg Police Service security check and maintain clearance
- The candidates should be able to successfully complete additional training as defined by the service
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to process Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Check requests received in-person by thoroughly understanding and following the Standard Operating Guide to determine the disclosure of convictions, outstanding warrants, judicial orders, pending orders, convictions, and sentences under the YCJA
- The candidates should be able to provide information and assistance on a wide variety of services offered by the WPS
- The candidates should be able to take electronic fingerprint impressions and photographs of individuals purchasing civil fingerprints
- The candidates should be able to collect payment for various services and perform other duties
