Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of graduation from High School
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to work independently with limited supervision and the ability to handle the physical demands of retrieving, moving chart volumes, and filing
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have successfully completed a one-year (Certificate Level) Office Administration Program and successfully completed an approved Medical Terminology course
- The candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with clients, staff, and the general public
- The candidates should have knowledge of the Meditech information system and provide a satisfactory certificate of conduct upon request
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to utilize the Meditech information system to register and admit clients presenting to the Emergency Department, adhering to established registration and admission protocols
- The candidates should be able to retrieve and re-file records requested by Emergency Room personnel efficiently and accurately
- The candidates should be able to file Emergency Department-related loose documents into corresponding client records and scan documents into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- The candidates should be able to organize and file outpatient loose filing reports daily in the Health Records Department
- The candidates should be able to provide coverage for Switchboard services and the Hospital Admitting Clerk during night shifts
- The candidates should be able to operate routine office equipment, including FAX machines and photocopiers, to support administrative tasks
- The candidates should be able to respond to emergency requests such as ambulance coordination and code red calls promptly and effectively
- The candidates should be able to assist clients, hospital staff, and medical personnel by addressing general inquiries and providing accurate information
- The candidates should be able to perform all other duties assigned, maintaining flexibility and adaptability in their role
