Salary: $15.00 to $17.50 hourly for 45 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: Beaver Brook, NS
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours, To be determined and Early Morning
Work Setting: Area is rural and dairy
Work Site Environment: Candidates should work in corn farming, hay farming, livestock combination farming, oilseed(except soybean) farming, outdoors, soybean farming, noisy, odours and dusty
Security and Safety: Criminal record should checked
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset.
Automated Systems Experience: Milking system(automated), bulk grain or feed handling – automated, manure handling and storage and storage and silage system
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidate should be able to walk
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to calving
- The candidate should be able to feed and tend animals
- The candidate should be able to handling animals
- The candidate should be able to milk cows
- The candidate should be able to weaning
- The candidate should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidate should be able to clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
- The candidate should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
