Hours: Monday – Thursday, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm (30 minutes unpaid break). Working hours may be negotiated upon hire

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have possess a 3-year diploma/degree in communications, marketing, journalism or interactive multimedia
Experience: Candidates should have 1-2+ years of experience working in content production environment

- The candidates should be experienced for 1-2+ years in creating, acquiring, and maintaining content for web properties using the CMS
- The candidates should have the ability to create and deliver compelling content for prospective students and parents, current students, alumni of the college, and other members of the college community
- The candidates should possess exceptional writing, copy editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail and a style that maximizes web content usability and accessibility
- The candidates should have a proven ability to deliver content tactics that drive business results
- The candidates should have knowledge of style guides and writing for higher education
- The candidates should be familiar with Content Marketing and writing for the web
- The candidates should have experience using Google Analytics or other web analytics software would be an asset
- The candidates should have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, is required
- The candidates should have web design and development experience
- The candidates should have experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, etc.) is necessary
- The candidates should possess Print and graphic design experience would be an asset
- The candidates should possess knowledge of HTML & CSS would be an asset
- The candidates should have demonstrated written, oral, and presentation skills are essential
- The candidates should be available to work occasional evenings and weekends upon request
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to create, edit, update, improve, and maintain high-quality web content for different web and digital communication properties, catering to both external (recruitment, promotions) and internal (student and faculty) audiences
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with Digital Marketing, in-house digital content strategists, writers, designers, and web staff to produce visually striking and user-friendly website content within content management system(s)
- The candidates should be able to track and implement Faculty communications, collaborating with Faculty partners and creative staff to execute multi-channel digital campaigns
- The candidates should be able to reports directly to the Dean in the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, making the Digital Content Specialist the Faculty’s strategic and editorial lead for digital content and campaigns
- The candidates should be able to work closely with internal teams to audit, organize, write, edit, and manage content for the Faculty
- The candidates should be able to gather and monitor metrics to identify content quality, performance, and accessibility compliance, make recommendations, and devise digital content enhancement strategies
