Salary: $20.05 hourly for 32 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Delta, BC
Shifts: Day, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Child care centre

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials: memberships, courses, licenses, certificates, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • The candidate should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • The candidate should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, as well as observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • The candidate should have knowledge of licensing regulations and be able to establish guidelines for behavior, assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children, and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
  • The candidate should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
