Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, medical exam, immunization records, and tuberculosis test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as necessary
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize punctuality and exhibit dependability
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate excellent oral communication
- The candidates should have strong written communication abilities and exhibit interpersonal awareness

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the holistic development of children
- The candidates should be able to engage children in storytelling sessions to stimulate their imagination and language skills, as well as lead various activities, including storytelling, singing songs, and exploring local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits to promote independence and self-care skills
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors to facilitate early intervention and support
- The candidates should be able to discuss children’s progress and challenges at staff meetings, collaborating with colleagues to address individual needs effectively
- The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings to contribute insights and recommendations to improve childcare practices and enhance the overall quality of care
- The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that ensures the health, security, and well-being of children at all times
- The candidates should be able to plan and organize enriching activities for school-age children in childcare programs before and after regular school hours, providing supervision and meaningful experiences
- The candidates should be able to supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants, fostering teamwork and ensuring quality care for all children
