Work setting: General law practice, property and real estate law, and real estate


Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Area of specialization: Contracts, correspondence, invoices, and reports and records
Computer and technology knowledge: Microsoft Publisher, MS Word, electronic mail, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, QuickBooks, and MS Office 
Security and safety: Bondable, basic security clearance, and credit check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be accustomed to a fast-paced environment and able to work under pressure
  • The candidates should be capable of meeting tight deadlines and possess attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should perform tasks with accuracy and be dedicated to client focus
  • The candidates should demonstrate dependability, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and be highly organized
  • The candidates should be reliable in meeting commitments and be team players with the ability to multitask

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

  • The candidates should be able to schedule and confirm appointments and maintain a filing system
  • The candidates should be able to record and prepare minutes of court sessions, meetings, or conferences, and determine and establish office procedures and routines
  • The candidates should be able to arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations, and prepare financial statements and reports
  • The candidates should be able to train and supervise staff, open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail, and coordinate the flow of information
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and key in correspondence and legal documents, review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage
  • The candidates should be able to perform basic bookkeeping tasks
