Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 yearÂ
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1), Child development worker (ECE level 2)

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, and assist in developing and implementing child-care programs that support their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
- The candidates should be able to supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and field trips
- The candidates should be able to order supplies and equipment, support early childhood educators, and assist in record-keeping
- The candidates should engage children in activities like storytelling, singing, and crafts, providing opportunities for creativity through art, play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and maintain daycare equipment while assisting in housekeeping and cooking duties
- The candidates should prepare snacks and set up rooms for lunch and rest periods, observe children for signs of learning or behavioral issues, and provide reports to parents, guardians, or supervisors
- The candidates should submit written observations on children’s progress to early childhood educators or supervisors and discuss progress and issues at staff meetings
- The candidates should have knowledge of the Day Nurseries Act and licensing regulations, establish behavior guidelines, and assess children’s abilities, interests, and needs
- The candidates should maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers, plan and maintain a safe environment, and organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours
- The candidates should supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
