Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check

- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide care for infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators in implementing developmental programs for children, covering physical, cognitive, emotional, and social aspects
- The candidates should be able to support educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate records of children’s progress and activities
- The candidates should be able to engage children in various activities such as storytelling, singing songs, and crafting projects
- The candidates should be able to guide children in developing healthy habits related to eating, dressing, and using the toilet
- The candidates should be able to maintain cleanliness and safety of daycare equipment and assist with housekeeping and cooking tasks
- The candidates should be able to prepare nutritious snacks and set up rooms or furniture for meal and rest times
- The candidates should be able to document observations on children’s behavior and development and share them with educators or supervisors
- The candidates should be able to participate in staff meetings to discuss the progress and challenges faced by children
- The candidates should possess knowledge of relevant regulations such as the Day Nurseries Act and licensing requirements
- The candidates should be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and community service providers involved in child care
