Salary: $15.80 to $15.85 hourly (To be negotiated) for 60 to 80 hours bi-weekly

Supervision: 3-4 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Computer and technology knowledge: Aloha Point of Sale (POS), Electronic Cash Register and Point of Sale System
Credentials: Smart Serve, Food Safety Certificate and Safe Food Handling Certificate
Security and safety: Bondable and Criminal Record Check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel and work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
• The candidates should be able to work overtime when required and perform physically demanding tasks
• The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and work under pressure
• The candidates should be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be client-focused and able to demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills
• The candidates should be excellent in oral communication, flexible, and able to take initiative
• The candidates should be organized, reliable, and a team player

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages and address customers’ complaints or concerns
• The candidates should be able to prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables and present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
• The candidates should be able to describe menu items including daily specials for customers and enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
• The candidates should be able to advise on menu selections and balance cash and record sales
• The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays and chairs and greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages
• The candidates should be able to serve food and beverages and take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
• The candidates should be able to assist clients/guests with special needs and provide customer service
