Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform tasks involving kneeling, stooping, walking, standing, and bending
- The candidates should be capable of repetitive motion and Overhead lifting is not required
- The candidates should be able to lift objects from the floor to waist, with requirements of 20-25 lbs
- The candidates should be able to carry objects 20 feet, with requirements of 20-25 lbs
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should hold a valid HACCP Certificate and should be a GFSI Scheme Practitioner
- The candidates should have basic laboratory experience, including physical and organoleptic testing and possess knowledge of lab procedures and interpretation of results, product development, and quality assurance
- The candidates should have experience in conducting sensory panels, physical and organoleptic analyses of food, as well as writing summaries of results with recommendations/conclusions
- The candidates should have experience maintaining lab notes and completing scientific reports and have experience managing outside vendors for quality issues
- The candidates should demonstrate good leadership, interpersonal skills, and self-direction
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide support to the Food Center Manager by implementing Food Safety & Quality procedures, including product analyses, product receiving/shipping, and preparation, as well as sensory panels
- The candidates should be able to perform standard physical and organoleptic evaluations on products, including weights, dimensions, temperature, texture, color, viscosity, and sensory attributes, and interpret the results
- The candidates should be able to support the Food Center Manager by preparing products for deeper analysis/investigation, reviewing product presentations to executives, and collaborating with supply partners
- The candidates should be able to conduct sensory panels by preparing samples, assisting with the tabulation of results, and reporting findings and able to manage specific portions of assigned projects related to quality and process improvement, including handling nutritional information using Genesis Software
- The candidates should be able to be knowledgeable about and capable of monitoring and implementing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP plans, and prerequisite programs and have knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) schemes and assist in developing and maintaining GFSI standards
- The candidates should be able to train the production team on GMPs, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required and able to conduct and lead HACCP plans for the Food Center and maintain the HACCP registry
- The candidates should be able to perform daily, weekly, monthly, and as-required verifications for each program and calibrate equipment and assist the Food Center Manager in internal and external plant audits and have knowledge of recalls, including conducting mock recalls independently
- The candidates should be able to verify and file all required HACCP documents daily and perform sanitation and pre-operation audits as required and collect and review shelf-life/lab results and conduct trend analysis of Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) results
- The candidates should be able to hold non-compliant products and make independent decisions as required
