Salary: $37.00 to $40.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Machinery installation, maintenance, service, repair, and overhaul

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Registered Apprenticeship certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Start-up and testing, shutdown operations, renovating and restoring, troubleshooting
Equipment and machinery experience: Conveyor, hydraulic system, industrial and stationary engine, lathes and other machining tools, pneumatic system, power tools, power transmission system, pumps and compressors, and hand tools
Own tools/equipment: Tools and steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
Security and safety: Bondable, Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working at heights and in noisy environments, demonstrating adaptability
  • The candidates should be tolerant of odors and capable of handling heavy loads, showcasing resilience
  • The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks and able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs), ensuring they meet physical requirements
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be able to work effectively under pressure, showcasing their ability to perform under challenging conditions
  • The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as necessary, exhibiting flexibility and agility

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to coach and instruct apprentices effectively, ensuring their skill development.
  • The candidates should be able to detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery, ensuring smooth operations
  • The candidates should be able to repair or replace defective machinery parts, maintaining equipment functionality
  • The candidates should be able to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery, ensuring timely repairs
  • The candidates should be able to perform routine maintenance work on machinery, preventing breakdowns
  • The candidates should be able to operate machining tools to fabricate parts, supporting repair tasks
  • The candidates should be able to install machinery and equipment correctly, ensuring safety and efficiency
  • The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately, facilitating repairs
  • The candidates should be able to adjust machinery and equipment to proper settings, optimizing performance
