Edo Japan specializes in Teppanyaki-style cooking, where food is prepared on a hot iron grill, and offers a variety of Japanese dishes, including Teriyaki, Sushi, and Udon Noodles. Shifts
: Day, Evening, Weekend
Work setting: Restaurant
Supervision: Cook (general), Food service counter attendants and food preparers, Kitchen and food service helpers, Staff in various areas of responsibility

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be client focus, flexible, should have efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to establish methods to meet work schedules, supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • The candidates should be able to train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, estimate and order ingredients and supplies
  • The candidates should be able to ensure food service and quality control, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and submit reports
  • The candidates should be able to establish work schedules
