Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads as part of their responsibilities
- The candidates should be physically fit and able to handle demanding tasks
- The candidates should possess a high level of attention to detail
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking during work hours
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to perform activities such as bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing work conditions
- The candidates should be effective team players, fostering positive collaboration
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a cash register, process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and scan items
- The candidates should be able to tabulate the total payment for goods or services required, receive payment, and calculate daily/shift payments received, reconciling with total sales
- The candidates should be able to engage in suggestive selling, stock shelves, clean the counter area, and greet customers
- The candidates should be able to accept reservations or take-out orders, wrap or place merchandise in bags, weigh produce and bulk foods, and provide customer service
- The candidates should be able to assist customers with self-checkout, calculate foreign currency exchange, and monitor all entrances and exits, requesting proof of payment when necessary
- The candidates should be able to participate in promotional activities, verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products, and sort and pack fruits and vegetables
- The candidates should be able to organize and maintain inventory
