Shifts: Day, Night, Overtime
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Various locations
Supervision: 5-10 people
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Poultry
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in chicken farming, including layer poultry farming and other poultry farming practices
- The candidates should be familiar with turkey farming
- The candidates should be comfortable working in dusty conditions and tolerating various odors associated with livestock
- The candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced environment and capable of working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines
- The candidates should be physically fit to handle a demanding workload and demonstrate attention to detail
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be prepared for a large workload, including overtime when required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should exhibit excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should demonstrate organizational skills
- The candidates should be collaborative team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to handle animals and recognize/treat certain livestock health problems
- The candidates should be able to select livestock for sale and maintain work records and logs
- The candidates should be able to supervise other workers and load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry
- The candidates should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
- The candidates should be able to supervise train crew members and operate/drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
