Designed Precision Castings Inc. based in Brampton, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Foundry worker. Designed Precision Castings Inc. has been producing custom steel and aluminum investment castings for a North American Aerospace, nuclear and industrial client base for more than 50 years. Our mission is to maintain product quality, competitive pricing and timely delivery. Salary: $19.00 to $21.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: Brampton, ON
Shifts: Morning, 07:30 to 16:00
Work setting: Foundry departments of metal products manufacturing companies
Security and safety: Criminal record should checked
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have steel-toed safety boots, safety equipment or gear, safety glasses/goggles, gloves and ear plugs
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided.
Type of Heavy Equipment Operated: Operate forklift
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads, able to manually dexter and also pay attention to detail
- The candidate should be physically strong and also have hand-eye co-ordination
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to operate ovens to dry moulds, operate furnaces used to melt metals for moulding and casting and operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- The candidate should be able to pour molten metal into moulds to produce metal castings and able to hand ladle molten metal into moulds to produce castings
