Salary: $15.30 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Evening, Weekend, Shift, To be determined, Early Morning
Work setting: Employer’s home, optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, and work in employer’s/client’s
home
Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Child Abuse Registry check, criminal record check, reference required, vulnerable sector check, and basic security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smokers and capable of handling heavy loads, as well as willing to work overtime when required
  • The candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks and comfortable with repetitive tasks, demonstrating attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate initiative, displaying flexibility and organization
  • The candidates should have strong time management skills and possess patience, as well as demonstrate honesty

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to follow parents’ lead with toilet training and assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
  • The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, travel with the family on trips, and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
  • The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, prepare infants and children for rest periods, and supervise and care for children
  • The candidates should be able to take children to and from school and to appointments, tend to the emotional well-being of children, and help children with homework
  • The candidates should be able to cook
