Shift: Monday – Friday (Afternoon shifts 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be a licensed industrial electrician (442A) or in their 4th year equivalent, working towards an Industrial Electrician License
  • The candidates should be self-motivated, well-organized, and able to multi-task
  • The candidates should have basic computer competency skills, with basic programming considered an asset
  • The candidates should have the ability to troubleshoot high-speed packaging equipment
  • The candidates should be skilled in using power tools
  • The candidates should possess forklift and work at height training/certifications, or be willing to obtain them
  • The candidates should possess high numeracy skills and record-keeping ability, and be mechanically inclined
  • The candidates should demonstrate a high level of problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret process control data
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate good knowledge of Food Safety Systems (GMP’s, CCP’s, oPRP’s)
  • The candidates should demonstrate good attendance and a sense of urgency
  • The candidates should be willing to be involved in continuous improvement efforts to enhance the quality of the product
  • The candidates should be able to lift/carry/pull >50lbs on occasion
  • The candidates should be able to perform standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping
  • The candidates should be able to work shifts and overtime as required

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to apply knowledge of processes, equipment, and system capability to achieve challenging individual and facility standards
  • The candidates should be able to achieve performance standards with regards to safety, line utilization, RE, and quality
  • The candidates should be able to ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate computer proficiency
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, changing work environment
  • The candidates should be able to safely and productively operate equipment in accordance with established procedures
  • The candidates should be able to complete PMs as directed
  • The candidates should be able to ensure accurate part entry and PM closure via INFOR, a must
  • The candidates should be able to maintain equipment in a satisfactory condition for safe operation
  • The candidates should be able to actively participate in line improvement meetings and projects
  • The candidates should be able to ensure adherence and compliance with quality standards
  • The candidates should be able to perform any other tasks as directed by managers and supervisors
