Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a three year university degree
Experience: Candidates should have Three to four years’ experience in a university setting with increasing responsibility

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external contacts
  • The candidates should possess an extensive knowledge of both University and general administrative procedures to act as an important source of information to students and faculty members
  • The candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of the requirements of the Master of Political Management program
  • The candidates should display maturity when working under pressure, as well as flexibility and resourcefulness when dealing with competing work priorities
  • The candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills; they must also be capable of relating successfully to all members of the University community (staff, faculty, and students), responding to queries in a professional manner, and possessing the ability to work successfully with guidance from the Program Director, Practicum Coordinator, and the College Administrator
  • The candidates should demonstrate personal initiative and independent problem-solving skills and possess tact, reliability, sensitivity to various cultural profiles, and the ability to maintain confidentiality as essential attributes for the role

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to be responsible for the efficient administrative operation of all aspects of the Clayton H. Riddell Graduate Program in Political Management (MPM)
  • The candidates should be able to report to the College Administrator of the Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs
  • The candidates should be able to work closely with the MPM Program Director, providing support and advice
  • The candidates should be able to understand that the MPM Program is resident in the Arthur Kroeger College within the Faculty of Public Affairs
