Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Computer and technology knowledge: Networking hardware, extranet, internet, servers, web service design, database software, data analysis software, MS Office, SQL, spreadsheet, and XML

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be adept at handling repetitive tasks
  • The candidates should have attention to detail
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to communicate electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced
  • The candidates should be able to consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions
  • The candidates should be able to provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
  • The candidates should be able to collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
  • The candidates should be able to participate in the redesign of applications and other software
  • The candidates should be able to supervise other technical support workers in this group
  • The candidates should be able to provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
  • The candidates should be able to set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
  • The candidates should be able to provide customer service
  • The candidates should be able to perform web-server backup and recovery operations.
