Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have 4 years Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: Candidates should have 5 years of related experience including Information Technology experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to sit with arms unsupported while keyboarding and meet multiple project deadlines with conflicting priorities often
  • The candidates should experience long periods of intense concentration while preparing reports, recommendations, and tracking budget often
  • The candidates should focus on a variety of source data and computer for long periods often
  • The candidates should work in an office setting

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess a Masters Certificate in Business Analysis or equivalent (126 hours) and should be proficient in several web-based Project Management and Development solutions
  • The candidates should hold a Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification (35 hours) and understand and apply the principles and methods of project management
  • The candidates should be able to interpret related policies and regulations and maintain accurate project and portfolio records
  • The candidates should establish and maintain effective working relationships and should be able to prepare and present reports and training sessions
  • The candidates should be able to deal effectively with outside agencies and vendors and should be capable of organizing and prioritizing the work of others
  • The candidates should be able to manage conflicting priorities with limited resources and should be able to summarize portfolio-level progress and roadmaps to Management

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to act as a Project and Portfolio Management Specialist for Information Technology projects
  • The candidates should be able to research and analyze the needs of various projects and recommend Project and Portfolio Management solutions to Management
  • The candidates should be able to analyze, prioritize, and curate the backlog of projects, keeping the approved project list as minimal and current as possible
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate the portfolio of Information Technology projects, assign and monitor project work to external consultants, vendors, and other positions in the Information Technology department
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate all departmental, IT, and external resources to ensure timely, effective implementation and completion of projects
  • The candidates should be able to apply and adhere to project management principles and the system development lifecycle using a combination of AGILE and traditional methods
  • The candidates should be able to oversee the consistency and viability of new additions to the project backlog to ensure there are no contradictions or overlaps with other backlog items, work already in progress, or infrastructure already in place
  • The candidates should be able to communicate to stakeholders when criteria for inclusion into the backlog is not met or when items need to be removed
  • The candidates should be able to provide project guidance and advice to departments, facilitate project meetings and workshops, and communicate project status and outcomes through presentations and workshops
  • The candidates should be able to represent the department on all corporate projects and committees as required and regularly track project progress against key milestones, recommending interventions and opportunities when required
