Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Area of specialization: Emergency power system, Fire alarm system, Security and surveillance system, Communications system, Lighting system, Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system, and Closed-circuit television (CCTV)
Equipment and machinery experience: Generators, Turbines, Conventional electrical devices, Dry cell and storage batteries, Fibre optics, High voltage equipment, Instrumentation, Microwave telecommunications equipment, Motors and controls, Solid state devices, Programmable logic controller (PLC), Hand tools, HVAC

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to install and replace electrical controls and panel boxes, demonstrate professionalism in customer service, and install underground wiring and cables
- The candidates should be able to design and construct single-phase and low voltage (30 to 750V) multiphase service for single or multimeter installations, and splice, join, and connect wires
- The candidates should be able to test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and integrity of circuits, and determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot and isolate faults, connect power to audio and visual equipment, and install surface mount and/or overhead cables
- The candidates should be able to install power generation, stand-by power generation, and power conditioning systems, and supervise other workers
- The candidates should be able to ground and bond electrical equipment, systems, and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs, and estimate costs and materials
- The candidates should be able to renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures, conduct preventive maintenance programs, and read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
