Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of degree in a science or technical field
Experience: Candidates should have 7 or more years of lab experience in oils and fats, food processing, grain milling and pharmaceutical manufacturing

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently, sometimes without supervision
  • The candidates must be able to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • The candidates should be self-starters with good interpersonal skills and contribute to Root Cause Failure analysis reviews
  • The candidates should have the ability to read and interpret various directives provided in written or oral format, such as safety rules, operating instructions, drawings, and production schedules
  • The candidates should be capable of completing routine reports and correspondence
  • The candidates should be efficient in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions and experience with an ERP system, such as SAP
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • The candidates should have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and maintain the Quality Management System (including HACCP, SQF, and GMP+) to meet customer, third party, and regulatory audit requirements
  • The candidates should be able to assist the QA Manager and others in investigating customer complaints and providing responses, including necessary corrective actions
  • The candidates should be able to ensure product formulations and operating conditions are current and accessible to staff, ensuring products meet desired characteristics. Collaborate with QA Manager, Bunge R and D, and others to improve products and address issues
  • The candidates should be able to work with the Purchasing Coordinator and QA Manager to ensure technical aspects of products meet regulatory and customer requirements and participate in Job Hazard Analyses, Near-Miss Reporting, and other required safety activities and respond to sales and customer inquiries
  • The candidates should be able to promote awareness of customer and regulatory requirements through ongoing training across the plant and ensure documented policies, procedures, and quality records are authorized, maintained, controlled, and available for use
  • The candidates should be able to verify and maintain the Quality and Food or Feed Safety systems, supervising and enforcing related documentation and verify Sanitation Forms, CCPs, Pre-shipment Verification, HACCP Prerequisites, and Daily Supervisors Report
  • The candidates should be able to review Prerequisite and HACCP Plans and maintain and verify calibration records and conduct third-party audits and Annual Sanitation, Chemical Safety Training, as well as HACCP, Food, Feed Safety or GMP Training
  • The candidates should be able to manage rework and plan or complete internal audits as required by Quality Management, Food and Feed Safety Systems and communicate all Food, Feed safety and quality concerns to Management
  • The candidates should be able to stay informed of developments in quality, regulatory, analytical, and safety requirements relevant to their role and integrate them into operations The candidates should be able to confirm the quality of all product ingredients, ensuring purchases are from approved suppliers and resolving ingredient quality issues
  • The candidates should be able to serve as the primary backup for QC Technicians and backup for SQF Practitioner
