Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed the 10th school grade
Experience: Candidates should have experience in roadway maintenance work
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically capable of performing the duties assigned to the position class
- The candidates should demonstrate exemplary customer service skills, the ability to work and make decisions independently
- The candidates should be adaptable to changing priorities due to managerial direction or weather dependency
- The candidates should have the ability and knowledge to complete an equipment pre-trip inspection for the relevant equipment required for the task
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in all phases of concrete work, possess a valid Emergency First Aid Certificate
- The candidates should hold a current Ground Disturbance certification, knowledge of the daily maintenance required for equipment
- The candidates should be familiar with the PARS Operating Procedures, a good understanding of the methods and practices used in operating and maintaining equipment
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to travel to various job sites based on a predetermined schedule, participate in on-site field condition reviews and hazard assessments
- The candidates should be able to set up equipment and traffic control as directed by field leadership, perform general labor duties, including digging, base preparation, land restoration, and flagging
- The candidates should be able to disassemble or remove damaged or deteriorated, participate in field training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
- The candidates should be able to maintain a clean and organized operational area during work and upon task completion
- The candidates should be able to load, transport, and unload materials and tools efficiently
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate physical strength and agility to perform required tasks, follow safety protocols and operate assigned equipment properly
- The candidates should be able to perform daily maintenance on all equipment used in operations, understand and effectively execute oral and written instructions
- The candidates should be able to maintain a valid Class 5 license and obtain a city driving permit, complete necessary work records, including Vehicle Pre-Trip Inspections, Field Level Hazard Assessments, and Order Resource forms
- The candidates should be able to report any near-miss or safety incidents in a timely manner, perform other related duties
