Salary: $14.25 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Mont-Royal, QC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night and Weekend
Work Setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, Urban area, Work in employer’s/client’s home, Willing to relocate
Work Site Environment: The candidate should be a non-smoker
Weight Handling: Between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Candidates must have CPR certificate, basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate
Target Audience: Elderly, Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with an intellectual disability, Persons with a disability, Males and Persons with Alzheimer’s disease
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads

- The candidate should be a combination of sitting, standing, walking
- The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidate should be able to walk
- The candidate should be able for bending, crouching, kneeling.

Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to administer bedside and personal care, administer medications, assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder)
- The candidate should change non-sterile dressings, feed or assist in feeding, launder clothing and household linens,mend clothing and linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, plan therapeutic diets and menus
- The candidate should provide companionship, provide personal care, shop for food and household supplies, prepare and serve nutritious meals, transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, provide nursing care.
