North American Produce Buyers Limited is a leading importer, distributor, and marketer of fresh produce across North America. Specializing in sourcing high-quality fruits and vegetables from around the world, they supply a diverse range of products to retailers, wholesalers, and foodservice providers. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Shifts: Weekend, Shift, Early Morning

Work setting: Urban area, warehouse

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset language: Spanish
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts
Computer and technology knowledge: Inventory control software, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Windows
Credentials: Forklift Operator Certification

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong attention to detail in their work
  • The candidates should be capable of working effectively under pressure and be proficient in performing repetitive tasks efficiently
  • The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and be comfortable standing for extended periods as necessary
  • The candidates should be able to handle weights of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) safely and effectively

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate accuracy, prioritize client needs and satisfaction, and exhibit dependability in fulfilling their responsibilities
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, demonstrate excellent oral communication abilities, and exhibit flexibility in their approach to tasks and schedules
  • The candidates should show initiative in taking on tasks and solving problems, exercise good judgment in decision-making, and maintain organization in their work habits
  • The candidates should be reliable in meeting commitments and deadlines, and be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to schedule distribution of goods, prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents, and assemble containers and crates
  • The candidates should be able to inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, maintain an internal record-keeping system, and record shortages and reject damaged goods
  • The candidates should be able to route goods to appropriate storage areas, pack goods to be shipped, and unpack goods received
  • The candidates should be able to affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments, oversee the loading and unloading of goods, and supervise material handlers and helpers
