Ravine Mushroom (1983) Ltd based in Woodbridge, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Mushroom picker. Ravine Mushroom (1983) Ltd is a family owned business which has been in business for 3 generations since 1975. Our business has grown from the humble beginnings in Woodbridge, Ontario to being one of the largest mushroom producer in Ontario supplying quality mushroom products to the major supermarket chains and local food service outlets. We are located strategically in Woodbridge which enables it to always supply local farm fresh mushrooms harvested the same day to its customers in the GTA and also in other parts of Ontario and Quebec. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $15.50 hourly for 36 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent employment
Location: Woodbridge, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Early Morning and Morning
Work setting: Rural area
Work site environment: Candidates should work at heights, odours and hot place
Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is not available
Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Type of crops: Mushrooms
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work overtime, in fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, manually dexter, able to distinguish between colours, stand for extended periods and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be physically strong and also have hand-eye co-ordination
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment and also have efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidate should be reliable and also a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to pick row and orchard crops and also sort and pack fruits and vegetables
- The candidate should be able to clean work area
- The candidate should be able to load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry
