Transportation information: The candidates should have own transport
Work setting: work in employer’s/client’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: The Candidates should have 1 to less than 2 years’ experience
Target audience: Adults, persons with an intellectual disability
Security and safety: Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in on-smoking environment.
Other Requirements:
The candidate should be, client focus, dependable, organized, initiative, reliable, have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent written communication, be able to work as a team player, and have values and ethics
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, administer medications, assist clients in water (i.e. pool), assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder)
- The candidates should be able to feed or assist in feeding, launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to provide companionship, provide personal care, shop for food and household supplies, prepare and serve nutritious meals
