Salary: $36.00 to $41.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Edmonton, AB

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Welding techniques: Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Flux core arc welding (FCAW), and Submerged arc welding (SAW)
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine and soldering machine

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads efficiently.

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications accurately and determine the weldability of materials with precision
  • The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment proficiently and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment as necessary
  • The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment effectively and operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) competently
  • The candidates should be able to fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal as required and operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines proficiently to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams
