Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of a Registered Professional Forester (RPF)
Experience: Candidates should have three years of experience in operational forestry such as forest tenures, cut-block and road development, engineering, silviculture, harvest operations or compliance and enforcement
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be located in British Columbia at the time of employment, as employees of the BC Public Service are required to work within the province
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should hold a designation as a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) with Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC), or be eligible for registration
- The candidates should have a minimum of four (4) years of experience in operational field forestry, including forest tenures, cut-block and road development, engineering, silviculture, harvest operations, or compliance and enforcement
- The candidates should possess forestry experience that includes timber sales planning, forestry planning, or integrated resource management
- The candidates should demonstrate experience in program administration, including allocating resources, managing or supervising staff, and administering budgets
- The candidates should have experience working collaboratively with Indigenous Peoples

The candidates should be prepared to undergo a Criminal Record Check (CRC) as part of the application process
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop the Forest Stewardship Plan for the Business Area (BA)
- The candidates should be able to participate in the development of higher-level plans such as Land and Resource Management Plans
- The candidates should be able to identify the fiduciary obligations of the BA with regard to Indigenous Peoples groups
- The candidates should be able to provide leadership to the consultation process with Indigenous Peoples
- The candidates should be able to ensure that all planning initiatives comply with legislative requirements
- The candidates should be able to represent the BA during planning audits
