Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a high school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration
Experience: Candidates should have training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates must be physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time
  • The candidates should have flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have an understanding of general or post office accounting systems

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to sell postal products and services to the business community and the public effectively, showcasing their understanding of customer needs and the benefits of the offered services
  • The candidates should be able to sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate classifications with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely delivery
  • The candidates should be able to provide customers with information and forms regarding postal products and services, demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills
  • The candidates should be able to address delivery and service difficulties promptly and effectively, resolving problems thoroughly and quickly to ensure customer satisfaction
