Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 5 years of experience in providing advice and solutions to high net worth clients

  • The candidates should have a demonstrated passion for putting clients first, as well as success in a hands-on, target-driven sales environment
  • The candidates should possess problem-solving and people skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and proactively connect with clients
  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility, eagerness to learn, strong personal ethics, and a hunger for success
  • The candidates should have digital literacy across a broad range of devices (i.e., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.)
  • The candidates should have a track record in building rapport and maintaining client relationships within the financial or service industry
  • The candidates should possess Mutual Funds accreditation (i.e., Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course)
  • The candidates should possess excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • The candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of high net worth financial sales and client relationship management
  • The candidates should hold either a PFP or CFP designation
  • The candidates should possess a Mutual Fund Dealer – Dealing Representative License
  • The candidates should be experienced in commercial financial services, which would be considered a nice-to-have
  • The candidates should possess professional designations such as CFA, CPA, MBA, LL.B., or FEA, which would be considered a nice-to-have

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to deliver the Black Card Experience to high net worth Canadians as an accredited professional Private Banker
  • The candidates should be able to focus on Private Banking’s core value proposition of wealth planning, credit, cash management, and day-to-day banking
  • The candidates should be able to bring new clients to RBC by building a strong network in their local market
  • The candidates should be able to grow and deepen existing client relationships through discovery and advice
  • The candidates should be able to focus on winning as One RBC by introducing clients to the right solutions, partners, and capabilities at the right time, to meet client needs both within Private Banking and across RBC
  • The candidates should be able to provide high-end relationship management and proactive advice to high net worth households, following all five principles of the Black Card Experience, to deliver an exceptional client experience and build client loyalty
  • The candidates should be able to put clients at the center and bring the full power of RBC to them, introducing them to the right partner at the right time, such as a Wealth Management Advisor/Counsellor for long-term investment advice or a Commercial Account Manager for a business relationship
  • The candidates should be able to be present in the community to be relevant to existing and prospective clients, leading to the ability to provide proactive advice and solutions beyond immediate needs
  • The candidates should be able to build and maintain an external Centre of Influence and internal partner network aligned with their target market to acquire new clients
  • The candidates should be able to introduce the Private Banking Associate and Private Banking Advisor teams as key advisors on managing day-to-day banking needs and the Credit Structures team as credit experts for credit advice and solutions, supporting the teams by respecting and reinforcing role clarity to deliver on client needs
  • The candidates should be able to represent RBC Private Banking by acting as an ambassador for the business
