Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a degree in Business, Economics, Commerce, Science, Computer or Engineering
Experience: Candidates should have at least 5 years of related experience in leading and managing complex and multidisciplinary projects

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, and/or advanced training in project management
  • The candidates should have excellent business analysis and presentation skills, with a background that demonstrates an aptitude for solving complex problems
  • The candidates must possess strong planning and organizing skills to meet challenging deadlines and be able to research, develop, and recommend options, and facilitate implementation
  • The candidates should demonstrate exceptional communication skills, along with the ability to lead and work concurrently with partners, and well-developed presentation, consulting, and facilitation skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to lead high-priority, complex projects that meet the expectations and needs of customers, Council, communities, and citizens, ensuring successful completion and transition to operations
  • The candidates should be able to be accountable for the overall delivery of projects, ensuring project objectives are achieved within scope, on schedule, and within budget and able to prepare the project budget, defining the allocation of financial resources and obtaining project sponsor approval
  • The candidates should be able to initiate and guide the development of the project charter and scope statement, identifying and confirming project deliverables, resources, and schedule and able to facilitate planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups, and one-on-one meetings with the project sponsor, project team, partners, and steering committee
  • The candidates should be able to provide direction and guidance to a multi-disciplinary project team, ensuring strict alignment to project plans, schedule, and budget
  • The candidates should be able to consult with the project sponsor to determine and acquire suitable resources, assess project team members’ abilities, and provide feedback to supervisors on performance as needed
  • The candidates should be able to prepare procurement documents and work with Supply Management to evaluate proposals for contractors/consultants, negotiate contracts, and ensure deliverables meet timelines, costs, and terms of payment
  • The candidates should be able to work with internal partners to resolve conflicts and enforce service level agreements to ensure deliverables are met on schedule and within budget
  • The candidates should be able to facilitate the development of the project transition plan and communications, including training, and ensure adherence to appropriate policies and procedures
