Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of 4 years of University training Such as Business, Engineering or related discipline
Experience: Candidates should have 10 years experience in Business and Engineering field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess the ability to work in a busy environment with competing and changing priorities, requiring limited supervision. This involves planning, organizing, scheduling, assigning, and monitoring the quality and quantity of work

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have knowledge and experience in power system asset management, including planning, operation, maintenance practices, commissioning, and construction for power systems
  • The candidates should possess knowledge of engineering science and business administration in Project Management, focusing on electrical power systems and equipment related to transmission/distribution assets, as well as mathematics, information technology, and analytical studies related to the application, design, and performance of the transmission/distribution system
  • The candidates should have knowledge and experience related to utility risk, regulation, and policy functions, both generally and within Hydro One specifically
  • The candidates should bring experience with the measurement, design, monitoring, analysis, and reporting function, providing advice and guidance to senior management on business performance processes. This includes setting performance measures and targets
  • The candidates should have experience in developing and implementing performance strategies, policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to function effectively as a team member, serving as an agent of change
  • The candidates should have experience in leading cross-functional teams, program and/or project management, with a demonstrated ability to work and lead in an environment requiring interface with subject matter experts from across all Lines of Business (LoBs)
  • The candidates should exhibit demonstrated strong organization and planning skills, along with being a team player
  • The candidates should have a strong working knowledge of Sharepoint, Microsoft Office (Visio/Excel/Word/PowerPoint), and SAP

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to monitor, control, and redirect complex Dx Lines Capital projects and coordinate activities with service providers and stakeholders
  • The candidates should be able to conduct operations research, technical/economic/business/regulatory impact assessments, and other specialized technical/business studies to determine transmission/distribution customer needs
  • The candidates should be able to analyze problems, develop strategies, alternatives, and preferred solutions, and facilitate the delivery of solutions through suppliers and service providers
  • The candidates should be able to receive assignments from the supervisor on broad terms related to specific problems in areas of assigned work
  • The candidates should be able to research available resources and contacts, proposing effective recommendations to improve performance and recognizing areas requiring further action to avoid problems
  • The candidates should be able to prepare comprehensive reports and specifications, presenting recommendations to resolve issues and producing necessary documentation
  • The candidates should be able to participate in the development, definition, and preparation of programs, processes, technical/operational/business standards, procedures, or methods, including risk management and costing related to the management of transmission/distribution assets
  • The candidates should be able to monitor service provider performance, provide redirection and contribute to the development of the business plan and regulatory submissions
  • The candidates should be able to maintain an awareness of advancing technology developments in business/transmission/distribution equipment and systems
  • The candidates should be able to provide technical guidance to others as required, assist in the resolution of work problems, and train new staff in job responsibilities
