Requirements:

Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP or equivalent experience

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to conduct research and ensure products and work methods maximize safety, productivity, and comfort
- The candidates should be able to study, evaluate, and control physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic hazards and stresses in the workplace and suggest changes to work processes, and provide information to workers and managers/employers on methods to reduce the risk of injury or illness
- The candidates should be able to prepare patent applications, advise clients on elements of patent law and on the patentability of inventions, and provide consulting services to government and other organizations
- The candidates should be able to prepare research papers, educational texts, or articles, establish internal programs within schools, businesses, and industries to promote responsible attitudes towards the environment, and provide information to the public through newspaper and magazine columns, articles, and radio commentaries
