Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 1-2 years experience related to building maintenance
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates must be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs
- The candidates should have basic hand tools
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a BC valid driver’s license and a valid motor vehicle record check
- The candidates should possess knowledge of residential and multi-family plumbing and mechanical systems
- The candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills within the work environment among guests and employees
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to service the interior of condo units, townhomes, and hotel properties in general, providing service to internal and external customers
- The candidates should be able to adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times
- The candidates should be able to ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency
- The candidates should be able to adhere to company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
- The candidates should be able to handle work requests pertaining to lodging units
- The candidates should be able to perform preventative maintenance on condos and hotel interiors
- The candidates should be able to pay attention to details, being aware of damages and potential maintenance problems
- The candidates should be able to maintain and repair all residential appliances
- The candidates should be able to provide support to all maintenance staff, with an immediate response to guest requests, and assist outside contractors
- The candidates should be able to assist with other requests within the lodging department as required
