Work setting: Moving and storage company, Various locations, Warehouse, Urban area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Equipment and machinery experience: Dollies and hand trucks
Vehicle and equipment experience: Light trucks
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 23 kg (50 lbs), up to and more than 45 kg (100 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, and large workload
- The candidates should be able to work in wet/damp area, noisy area, outdoors, hot area, dusty area, and cold/refrigerated area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be adaptable, goal-oriented, collaborative, analytical, efficient, energetic, hardworking, proactive, quick learner, dependable, and reliable
- The candidates should have creativity, integrity, positive attitude, time management, excellent oral communication, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to wrap goods, transport and distribute materials and goods, store cargo and materials
- The candidates should be able to operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products
- The candidates should be able to load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
- The candidates should be able to make labels and attach to goods, pack and unpack goods
- The candidates should be able to provide customer service, install, lash and secure goods
- The candidates should be able to organize and maintain inventory
- The candidates should be able to sort, crate and stack goods
