Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or a related field
Experience: Candidates should have hands-on experience as a Senior Development Manager, leading a team to build innovative solutions using cutting-edge technologies

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be adept at design solutioning and have proven experience with C++, Golang, web services, SQL databases (i.e., Oracle, SQL MI, DB2, etc.), and Microservices
  • It’s desirable if the candidates have strong knowledge of cloud technologies, digital, and banking knowledge

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to manage a team at the heart of CIBC’s digital transformation, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects
  • The candidates should be able to lead a high performing team of development specialists delivering innovative products and services within CIBC’s Alternate Solutions Group in the Capital Markets Technology Division
  • The candidates should be able to manage a team of developers utilizing SDLC delivery methodologies
  • The candidates should be able to work closely with their team to ensure appropriate delivery of products and services, ensuring adherence to standards through test-driven development and code reviews
  • The candidates should be able to track and analyze the operating environment for specified services and implement corrective actions as needed, understanding requirements
  • The candidates should be able to work with clients and internal partners to determine, negotiate, and manage services to the agreed standards, and monitor service levels to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend appropriate solutions
  • The candidates should be able to lead and coach a high performing team of individuals, providing people leadership
  • The candidates should be able to direct, motivate, and develop their team, maximizing their contributions and professional growth, and share knowledge to come up with effective solutions to problems
  • The candidates should be able to work closely with business partners to develop, test, and implement application programs, managing relationship with them
