Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On Call, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Staff accommodation available, room and board provided, rural area
Type of crops: Asparagus, Bell peppers, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflowers, Cucumbers, Garlic, Melons, Onions, Strawberries, Tomatoes, Zucchinis, Potatoes, and vegetables
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools
Automated systems experience: Automated irrigation system
Own tools/equipment: Gloves, and steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming and be knowledgeable about organic farming practices
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads, meeting tight deadlines, and thriving in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should possess manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish between colors, demonstrating attention to detail
- The candidates should be comfortable with repetitive tasks, physically demanding work, and standing for extended periods, including performing bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks
- The candidates should be able to manage a large workload, work independently, and handle weights of up to 45 kg (100 lbs) as necessary

- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate flexibility in various work scenarios
- The candidates should exhibit good judgment in decision-making situations and maintain organization in their work approach
- The candidates should be reliable in fulfilling their responsibilities and function effectively as team players
- The candidates should uphold strong values and ethics and be quick learners, adapting to new tasks and responsibilities efficiently
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to hand harvest vegetables, hoe crops, and weed fields and garden areas
- The candidates should be able to clean crops, clip plants, and cull vegetables as needed
- The candidates should be able to grade harvested produce, sort and pack fruits and vegetables, and examine produce for quality, preparing it for market
- The candidates should be able to clean greenhouse areas and maintain a clean work area
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops as they mature
