Work setting: Employer’s home, optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, urban area, room and board provided, relocation costs covered by employer, and willing to relocate
Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers and scent-free
- The candidates should be comfortable with repetitive tasks and demonstrate attention to detail, as well as being able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills, exercising good judgment and demonstrating reliability
- The candidates should be organized and team players, possessing patience and demonstrating honesty
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to travel with the family on trips, assisting with child supervision and housekeeping duties, and disciplining children according to the methods requested by the parents
- The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals and tend to the emotional well-being of children
