Toronto Transit Commission’s Information Technology Services Department supports Toronto’s transit network by managing IT infrastructure and enhancing digital systems. It oversees fare collection, real-time passenger information, and network security, ensuring efficient and reliable public transportation operations. It plays a pivotal role in optimizing service delivery and enhancing commuter experience throughout Toronto’s buses, streetcars, and subways. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should plan and organize activities or projects to meet section and organizational goals and communicate effectively in a variety of mediums and manage projects efficiently
  • The candidates should demonstrate specialized expertise and knowledge in the assigned field and analytical skills effectively, interview and assess job candidates and principles and practices of quality assurance
  • The candidates should have completion of a post-secondary college diploma or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent extensive hands-on experience and expert knowledge of Payroll and Benefit business processes
  • The candidates should possess extensive hands-on experience in configuring SAP in a professional environment on SAP ERP, with expert knowledge of Payroll and Benefit configuration and Payroll processing
  • The candidates should demonstrate a deep understanding of SAP Canadian Payroll (PY-CA) and Benefits (PA-BN) participated in multiple full life cycle large scale SAP project implementations in the HR Payroll domain
  • The candidates should have experience in year-end payroll activities and Canadian year-end reporting Hands-on experience and knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors and integration with SAP ECC
  • The candidates should have hands-on experience in the design and development of SAP Payroll schemas and PCRs demonstrate experience in supporting enterprises with multiple unions or bargaining units and complex payroll rules
  • The candidates should demonstrate experience in CATS or other third-party time entry systems, time evaluation, and time integration to the Payroll process and Hands-on experience and knowledge of ABAP and FIORI
  • The candidates should have a strong understanding of SAP Payroll processing, including Overpayment recovery, Garnishments, Deductions, Arrears, Taxes, and SAP Retro calculation functionality and SAP Certification appropriate to the area of expertise
  • The candidates should have a combination of strong technical and business skills and gather information and conduct research effectively possess hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving production issues

  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement new computer systems and enhance old systems by assessing business problems and requirements, leading the process of providing and implementing computer systems solutions
  • The candidates should be able to lead technical analysis and provide direction for the development, design, and systems integration for business engagement throughout the entire project development lifecycle
  • The candidates should be able to plan, supervise, and direct work to ensure the technical team acquires sustainable knowledge, skills, and technical competencies, and achieves the goals and objectives of the section
  • The candidates should be able to promote a respectful work and service environment that supports diversity, inclusion, and is free from harassment and discrimination. They should provide leadership in developing and implementing inclusive and accessible policies, programs, and services for employees and customers in accordance with TTC’s commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC), the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC’s policies
